#Vedo

The Next R&B Sensation

Vedo

By: Lisa Ward

SM: Vedo, I truly think that you are an amazing artist, singer, songwriter and entertainer. I would like to congratulate you on signing your record deal. Who did you sign with and when can we look forward to your album dropping?

Vedo: Thank you I appreciate that! I just signed an independent deal with PPM (Platinum Power Moves). This label has been following my career for some time now, I would say 2 1/2 years. PPM first came to me when I wasn’t 18, and at the time I had a few situations on the table and wanted to keep my options open. PPM showed me that they believed in me just as much as I believed in myself. I’ve always said if something is meant to be it will present itself again.

SM: Vedo, your vocal ability is just amazing.  What are you going to bring to the music industry that other young artists your age have not done as of yet?

Vedo: I’m going to bring back a real Soulful yet modern style singing and music. I’m going to bring “substance” in music back.  A lot of music today really lacks substance, a story line. People forget that songwriting is a form of poetry and is meant to touch people and make them feel something whether it be HAPPY, SAD, MAD etc.

SM: My team is always on the lookout for new artists, models, fashion designer’s etc. I came across you on Facebook and then went to YouTube. At that time I didn’t even know you were on the "Voice", but I along with millions know you are going to be the next hot male artist of this time and beyond. What does that feel like to know that and how do you stay humble at the same time?

Vedo: It feels great! To stay humble is to stay Thankful and Grateful. The moment someone starts getting the big head is the moment they forgot that the only reason you have what you have and you are what you are is because of GOD. It also deters people.

SM: Vedo, can you take us though the steps you follow when writing one of your hit songs for yourself or another artist, and are they the same steps or different?

Vedo: I usually write songs based upon how I’m feeling that day. I come up with the topic of the song first and I don’t name the song until I am done.
